One of the challenging competencies is teaching the sequencing event. As learners they need to master the competency because through this, we can be able to evaluate if the leaners really understand the given text. Not only in English subject implied this but even in other subjects. There are many suggested strategies that a teacher can use, like using graphic organizer, timeline, sequencing events, and paragraph frame. It is also important we use signal word for easily understood the text. If learners are properly guided using different techniques, they can be able to write their own composition.

Teaching facts and opinion is quite exciting, but we need to clarify to our pupils the difference of a fact to opinions. We need to emphasis the facts are true and correct, they really happened, while opinion, are just belief, not exactly happen. We can also use signal word to easily if this is a fact or opinion. There are also reading strategies, like SQ3R, stand for survey, question, read, recite, and recall, another one is by using graphic organize or relevant act

Lastly the most challenging is when we are teaching on giving conclusion or generalization. It is quite difficult for learners if they do not understand what they read. They will have a hard time giving conclusion. As a teacher we need to do something for this. We have to emphasis to them that generalization has a specific conclusion, not all conclusion is generation. As we all know that conclusion is a decision you reach that makes sense after you think, while generalization is a specific kind of conclusion.
