Go calls for gov't fuel discount amid price hike
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Vice president aspirant Senator Christopher "Bong" Go has called on concerned government agencies to provide fuel subsidy to strategic sectors amid the continuing price hike.
"Umaapela ako sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno, lalo na sa Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, ay Department of Transportation na pagaralan kaagad ang posibleng pagbigay ng fuel discounts or subsidy para sa mga strategic sectors natin, katulad ng public transport, food deliveries at iba pa," he sai d.
Go explained that by providing discounts to said sectors, the impending price increase of basic goods such as food.
It would also help prevent possible fare hike which would be a burden to commuters, the senator furthered.
"Ang sunud-sunod na pagtaas ng presyo ng langis sa world market ay dumadagdag sa pasanin ng mga Pilipinong patuloy na tinatamaan ng kasalukuyang pandemya," he lament ed.
Due to this, Go also proposed to study the possible suspension of fuel excise while prices of oil in world market is high.

ARAYAT - Incumbent Vice Mayor Sixto "Pogi" Mallari seeks to alleviate poverty and maintain peace and order in this town by providing accessible and quality education and healthcare services to its people.
