Facebooking: An Avenue to Provide Adequate Learning Interactions in the New Normal

-

E-learning is one of the most popular learning environments in the digital age, and it is gaining popularity all over the world. Contributing, sharing, consuming, and participating in social networking elements, as well as audiovisual functionalities, could increase the variety of instructional techniques.

Because of the appealing qualities and characteristics of social media apps, social networks are a perfect communication medium that educators and students can use. Facebook is a popular social networking site among students; it has become a widespread feature in their life, and as a result, it can affect various aspects of students' lives, including academic achievement. Because the wall of a Facebook group may be used as a platform to publish announcements and share information and learning resources, Facebook has the potential to be utilized as a learning management system.

Because the efficiency of educational methods is closely tied to student involvement, several schools have taken advantage of the expanding use of Facebook among students to push students to engage in different learning tools. Because Facebook has become such an integral part of students' life, it has the potential to profoundly alter social practices in education. During this work-from-arrangements, Facebook possesses many desirable characteristics of good education technology, as it is an appropriate mechanism for student peer feedback and fits the social context of learning. Facebook provides a platform for casual and unstructured types of learning, and the site's collaborative potential can be used for educational reasons. Students can use Facebook to share academic knowledge. Facebook is a useful resource for students to ask questions about their homework or exchange information about school activities. It allows learning to continue even if there is a pandemic.

In general, students love Facebook while also taking advantage of its other features, such as communicating with others and exchanging lesson-related knowledge. As a result, Facebook may be used as a tool for educational communication and interaction, allowing teachers to take on a more active and involved role. *****
