All well that ends well for Rabiya and ex-boyfriend

Former Miss Uni verse-Phiippine rep resentative Rabiya Mateo opens up regarding her break up with ex-boyfriend Neil Salvacion. Now a certified Kapuso star, Rabiya tells all. Weeks after the miss Universe 2020 pageant in June 24, Neil announced that Rabiya broke up wh him and chose her crown over their relationship.

Neil's announcement was followed by rabiya's statement that she will talk to Neil when she arrives Mania.

"I will be honest in answering this question. To be honest po, we were talking na he told me na he wanted to join [a reality show]. I told him, 'Go ahead. I'm proud of you.' He's gonna go out of his [ shell] ."

According to Rabiya, Neil had asked her an apology on his audition video for Pinoy Big Br ot h er.

"After nun, we also talked about the issue, and he said sorry. Sabi ko din, iba kasi yung pagiging public figure. Siguro yun ang hindi niya na-prepare yung sarili niya. Na everybody is gonna have a say about you. If you really want it, if you can take the responsibility, then go ahead. He just lost his mom three weeks ago. So, dinamayan ko din po siya. That's why kahit anong ibato ng tao for the both of us, alam ko po na he's my best friend. Hindi rin madali yung seven years na pinagsamahan namin. If he needs me, I'm gonna be there as a friend."

Filipino fashion designers Francis Libiran and Axel Que, and jewelry maker Manny Halasan for the Miss Universe 2021 pageant happening in December 2021 in Israel.

Francis has made several gowns for Bea to wear during the pageant's preliminary competition and grand coronation night, while Axel and Manny are already collaborating over Bea's national costume.

The designer said it was Jonas Gaffud, creative director of MUPO, who personally asked him to create Bea's gowns.

Francis said, "Who can't say no to Jonas? So when Jonas messaged me and said, 'Can you dress up our queen?' I said, 'Of course.'"

Francis, who is known for his architectural and signature art deco designs, revealed that he felt the pressure of creating gowns for Bea, knowing how passionate Filipinos are about the Miss Universe pageant.

He said, "It was a bit of a pressure and... right after Jonas messaged me, I started working on it right away. That's why I was able to produce, I think, 25 sketches for Jonas. So when we had a meeting, I presented it in a huge board and I said, 'Jonas, pumili ka na.'"

Francis has dressed up several international beauty queens, including Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, but his experience designing gowns for Bea is quite different.

He further explained, "Actually, right now, it's so different. You know, I've dressed up Megan and Kylie before. It was so different. There's a lot of pressure to it. And when, I think, it was announced that I was dressing up Bea for this Miss Universe competition, I got a lot of private messages from Instagram, from Facebook, and I felt the pressure."
