Strengthening parental involvement in the new normal education is striking and in need. It is through this that innovating new and profound ways of teaching and considering community relations are at stake. However, this may not be new, but this time of the pandemic, parental involvement is the key.

There are various studies that have shown that student and family characteristics influence the levels of parental involvement in school. As a principal in a public school, I always consider my community in every decision I make, for an instance, the different projects, activities, and developments of the school. Giving the people who are involved in the school's academic circle such as the teachers, personnel, stakeholders, and parents, is always a good move. Parents should always be a factor in education. They are the backbones of every student's dream.

Luckily, in our school, parents know the value of community relations, giving, helping, and supporting. Let me give you the following benefits of having a parent in every school:

1. When schools are involving the parents in and out of schools, educators and school heads are more possible to experience higher optimism or morale.

2. School Head and Teachers often receive more respect for their profession from the parents,

3. This will lead to better communication and relations among parents, teachers, and administration, and other people in the community.

According to Learning Lift Off, parents who are taking the key roles of Learning Coaches for their children, who attend online schools can become much more involved in their children's education. Parental involvement in school helps a lot most especially to the leaders and teachers, as they acquire a better understanding of families' cultures and diversity. Also, giving the parents a respect of their time.

Aside from these, teachers tend to form better reputations in the society. Involving the parents as part of the community support system, most especially this time of pandemic is very essential. Without their support, students may not answer or finish their modules, and for some, they may not continue schooling if there are no parents.

Olsen and Fuller (2017) mentioned in their study that school programs that encourage and involve parents usually do better and have higher quality.

Parents can affect the quality assurance of the school. They are the ones who establish the entire environment that the children will consider and choose from.

With that, to all the parents, our superheroes, we thank you wholeheartedly. Your support and understanding matter. We need you!
