Rabiya Mateo's baptism of fire in showbiz

Former Miss Uni verse representa tive Rabiya Mateo talks about her baptism of fire...in showbiz because me of her scenes were really intense.

One was a confrontation scene with Kim Rodriguez which Rabiya describes, “Grabe talaga iyong sampalan and bugbugan namin do’n!”

I mentally and emotionally prepared myself sa pain kasi sabi ko, it’s not gonna be easy, pero minsan kahit nasa eksena ka, madadala ka! Sabi ni Direk [Rommel Penesa], ‘O, sasampalin mo ulit!’ Minsan, may extra tulak na rin kasi nadala ka na sa eksena, so sobrang saya!”

Rabiya is making her acting debut in an episode of the public affairs program Wish Ko Lang!, alongside Kim Rodriguez and Jeric Gonzales.

In the episode, Rabiya plays Rita, a woman whose mom meets an accident. Her rich best friend Mariel (Kim) then offers her PHP300,000 to pay for the expenses needed in the hospital.

Their friendship is tainted when they fall in love with the same man, Dennis (Jeric). Matters worsen when Mariel asks for Dennis as Rita’s payment for her debt.

Rabiya recalls the scenes:

However, Rabiya says she's proud of her acting debut.

“We didn’t fake the scene, iyong nakita niyo po sa trailer na sinampal ako, napa-ha, napaganon ako, totoo talaga iyon because I didn’t expect that it’s gonna be painful. And then, imagine iyong pagsampal sa iyo, you’re numb kasi masakit pa siya din pero you have to deliver the lines.” she stressed.

Bea Alonzo is now with GMA-7. However, issues are still coming up with her transfer from the kapamilya network.

Kim Chiu is now on the hot seat. The actress/ host is responsible for the ongoing issue.

Kim posted a video on her social media account.

Kim posts then deletes removal of Bea Alonzo’s Portrait along ABS-CBN hallway. Some netizens who are fans of Kim came to the rescue and defended her. But some, said she was so insensitive. Others say that it was just the right thing for ABS to remove stars that moved to other stations.

Bea signed with a contract with GMA in July 2021. Prior to this, she was a contract star of ABS for the past two decades or so.
