THE FIRST AND THE LAST
Education does not stop when you have it. To be truly successful is to be able to take part in a fruitful exchange of learning. Theories and concepts should find ways to be useful in the real world daily. The aim of any learning is to ultimately be able to apply it in practical situations and understanding the “how” to go about transferring knowledge to a new domain of application could change the perspective that translates to situations and problems that one might face in a new function. Here are some of the ways to transfer learning effective:
1.Apply what is learned. We must not forget that to teach is to influence. They will always check the carrier of the message if he or she has already applied it in his or her life. Walk the talk to simply say it.
2.Determine the significance of what you are learning. By identifying its importance, you will find ways domains where you could apply it effectively and adequately. You can be able to undergo a process and plan to produce with the use of the learned ideas, concepts, or skills.
3.Fill in the gaps in your knowledge.Therearetimesthatyouwillrecognize the scarcity of details or vagueness in the ideas on your learning. As the person responsible for transferring, you are expected to do it effectively; thus, it must move you to settle the issues so that the receivers will do the next processes like confirmation through their research, investigation of the hypothesis, evaluation of the judgment, and others. Remember, your aim is to help not to make someone’s life more difficult.
4.Reflect on the purpose.Animportantaspectoftransferringlearningisto distinguish the worthwhile to share. Not all information is verified as truth or complete as it is. In order for the transfer to be truly appreciated, it has to have a defined purpose in which direction could be seen or redirection will be realized.
5.Set well-defined learning goals. Always remember to integrate the SMART acronym. These goals must be specific, measurable, attainable, results-oriented, and time-bound. When we transfer learning, we have the end goal in mind that we will assist further learning to the receivers. This is the same as true when we receive them. We can duplicate, advance, and share the learning.
6.Stay conversational.Makeitsocialwhenwesharewhatweknow.Inthat way, we become sweeter to hear and more learner-magnets. The less we sound scientific, our receivers will appreciate more the details and eventually cause for the exchange of knowledge between the members of the communication.
7.Utilize different means of transfer

As teachers, we must be courageous in learning new avenues in transferring learning because of the time and season change as well as the trends and styles of learning.
There is no such as” one strategy fits all.”

Mentors and parents should be partners in all educational encounters that involve every learner. In the past, we were accustomed to the set-up that when a child is enrolled in school, teachers have the responsibility towards their education. Parents sometimes forget to make follows regarding their children’s behavioral and academic status.
With the birth of the New Normal Educational set up, little by little the concept of genuine and shared responsibility is being practice. Parents are slowly realizing that they too have a significant role in the success of education in whatever forms.
If parents were the last to eat breakfast, so does teachers. They prepare the educational meals of their learners through modules, learning activity sheets, online activities and other essentials that will be beneficial to their academic development. They even feel like being the last to eat their meals just to be deliver learning on time.
During face-to-face encounters, teachers are the last to leave the classroom making sure that everyone will be safe leaving school and will have their home sweet home. They patiently prepare their classroom to make it a place for learning and most of all more of a “class home” spending their own money to make it more relaxing for everyone. Yes, they do it and by doing it, they sometimes sacrifice their own needs like new clothes or skipping their “meryenda”. Before turning off the lights in the room, they make sure tomorrow will be a learning opportunity for all people who will enter that room.
At home, they will be the first ones like parents to prepare the food on the table for their family. And when all the family members are sleeping soundly, there they are, burning their midnight oils, checking their students’ outputs, preparing daily lessons, their Weekly Home Learning Plans, their class records and preparing other documents making sure to beat/ meet the deadlines. With a hopeful prayer that, tomorrow is another day, they turn off the lights of their bedside lamps.
This in a cycle they continuously do without mental reservations. They find it their happiness.
And when their learners come to them, they feel as if they were their students’first confidante whether these youngsters share their stories about their family, their hopes, their dreams, and ambitions.
They feel trusted when their student expresses their fears and shares their endless crying episodes yet listens to their teacher's advice. They feel proud like parents to every accomplishment a learner has.
They will forever be glad to be among their students’first people in their lives even they come last in their learner’s success in life.
A teacher will always be a person who listens with the EAR of his/ her heart. *****
