Ang Probinsyano Partylist gets No. 50 slot in official ballot
On Tuesday, December 14, Ang Probinsyano Partylist was among the total 166 partylist groups which were allowed to participate in the electronic raffle conducted by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
It was when the Comelec announced that Ang Probinsyano Partylist secured the #50 placement for the next year’s polls official bal l ot .
"This is a good number. Masaya po ang Ang Probinsyano Party List dahil pinagpala tayong makakuha ng numerong madaling tandaan,” said Ang Probinsyano Partylist Representative Alfred delos Santos.
He expressed hope that their representation will repeat its success during the 2019 polls when it was included in the top 5 partylist groups that secured the highest votes.
Delos Santos said he considers the number 50 as a significant number as it was mentioned so many times in the Bible.
“Even in numerology, number 50 symbolizes master of change. So, #50 on the 2022 ballot is a positive sign for Ang Probinsyano Partylist,” he added.
Delos Santos said that its partylist stayed true to its core as the representative of “probinsyanos” in its first three years in Congress.
“We were able to deliver much-needed infrastructure projects in remote areas and distributed various forms of assistance such as financial, medical, educational or livelihood to people affected by the calamities and the pandemic,” he said.
He added that the group was also the first representative in Congress which filed the resolution for the investigation of the Special Risk Allowance for Health Workers.
"'Hindi po nasayang ang boto niyo. Marami pong nagawa ang Ang Probinsyano Party List, lalung-lalo na po sa mga ka-probinsyano,” he said.
Meanwhile, aside from the partylist that were allowed to participate in the Comelec’s electronic raffle, around 70 other party-list groups which were rejected and are still keeping their fingers crossed that they would be given the go-signal to participate in next year's election.
