THE LIFE OF A TEACHER

Cristina P. Dela Cruz

-

A teacher's life is a meaningful and purposeful one.

This is the gist of what I have to say to describe the life of a teacher. For many countless years, we remain unsung heroes who make a difference in the lives of the youth.

Being a teacher is somewhat stressful, given the many tedious task that are part of our job. Countless urgent reports and papers at pile, noisy classrooms and many more... What would life be without these things? They actually add meaning in our lives. Because as we render our service to our learners, we feel sense of fulfillment in our lives.

Being a teacher is a noble profession. This has been said many times. And yet, it remains a fact. As we cater to our learners, we become instant parents or guardians to diverse students. This indeed is the most meaningful part of being a teacher.

There are many perks when you are a teacher. The salary may not be as high as other jobs, but it is a stable one that can provide for the family. But aside from that, the incentives thay we obtain are one of the things we are grateful about.

Living a life of a teacher is a life that is filled with contentment and love. Once we meet our learners, we begin relationships and bond that easily doesn't end. We become as if parents who would want to keep track on how they have been even years have passed. Once we have known that our former students become successful in gheie life endeavors, we become one of the proudest. That is actually one of the greatest and priceless perks in the life of a teacher.

Because of this, even though teachinv is challenging, I still choose to be one. And definitely, I am proud to be a teacher.
