San Fernando recognizes top taxpayers of 2020

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO---The City Government of San Fernando honored its “top taxpayers” for the year 2020 during an inperson awarding ceremony on December 21, 2021 at Heroes Hall.

The face-to-face rite was an offshoot to a virtual ceremony held in June of this year, following less-restricted guidelines on mass gatherings.

Nonetheless, only the 22 “Rank 1” corporations and individuals out of more than 70 awardees were present. They were recognized for their timely and accurate payments for business, real property, community, and franchise taxes.

The top taxpayers are for business tax: PMFTC, Inc. [ Manufacturers/ NonEssential]; Toyota San Fernando, Pampanga, Inc. [ Wholesaler, Dealer, and Distributor/ Non-Essential]; SM Appliances Center, Inc. [Retailers/ Non-Essential]; Unahco, Inc. [Manufactures/Essential]; United Laboratories, Inc. [Wholesaler,

Dealer, and Distributor/ Essential]; Supervalue, Inc. “SM Supermarket-SM City Pampanga” [ Retailers/ Essential] ; NLEX Corporation [Contractors and Independent Contractors]; SM Prime Holdings, Inc. [Services]; East West Bank Corporation [Banking and Financial Institutions];JosefinaSiy“A.A Saver’s Mart” [ Single Proprietorship]; "Rey Sampang “Meat Vendor” [New Public Market]; and Marina Cunanan “Pedmar Gift Shop”[Old

Public Market] .

The top list for real property tax (individual) include Melchor Caluag, married to Vilma Caluag [Rank 1-Individual]; Ma. Clara L. Magat, married to Bonifacio Magat [Rank 2-Individual] ; and Jaime Lazatin, Marcos T. Lazatin [Rank 2-Individual] .

For real property tax (corporation), the top payers are SM Prime Holdings, Inc. [Rank 1Corporation]

and San Miguel Brewery, Inc. [Rank 2-Corporation].

San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company (SFELAPCO) is the number one franchise tax top payer while Barangay Malpitic is tops for community t ax.

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin spearheaded the rites, along with Councilor Reden Halili, heads of regulatory offices including City Treasurer Mary Ann Bautista; City Assessor Dr. Luz Bautista; City Business License and Permit Division Chief Salvador Cariño; City Market Operations Division Chief Mila Rivera; and, former BLPD Chief and now consultant Joseph Garcia.
