A welcome family bonding

-

INITIATED by my son,Jerome, my brood traveled to Manila Saturday evening, December 18, 2021 and stayed (and slept) overnight at Jerome's friend Kevin Jau's condo unit at Leon Guinto, Manila.

We went to Venice Piazza in Bonifacio Global City where family members enjoyed the sights and shops, took selfies and group pictures and the Venice-inspired lagoon and gondola providing an excellent backdrop. It was a pleasant experience at the mall where prices of items are far above the ordinary, including a bottled small mineral water which sold for P50.00.

Early Sunday morning, we motored to Tagaytay City passing through Sta. Rosa and Silang, Cavite and reached Peoples Park where the kids spent time taking selfies and pictures of the place overlooking the Taal lake.

At about 6 pm, we motored back home and passed through SLEX where traffic congestion was at its peak, stationary and slowmoving.

In contrast, it was a travel breeze at NLEX and after several hours, we reached our abode at Fiesta Communities, Tabun.

It was a tiring but rewarding experience and everybody had a good story to tell about the hastily-organized travel to BGC and Tagaytay City.

We were chauffeured by Joben and Jovito both expert drivers even through sporadic rains.

It pays to spend bonding time with the family to strengthen ties, renew good relationships between and among siblings.

Also on Sunday, brother Perry initiated another gettogether at the resort place of Josie Basilio and Ka Roger at Barangay Mabiga.

In attendance were councilor-aspirant Eddie Sotto, his wife Mely and sons Eugene and Eubert and daughter-in-law Ivy with their kinds Sophia and Sydney.

Nephew Gerald Alexander, a professional bodybuilder, came with wife and son and the meals were prepared at the residence of Jun and wife Lerma.

It was worth attending, this bonding time, and agreed to make a repeat in the very near future. all
