Who will disciple and train the children and how?
Magic words such as hello, please, you’re welcome, I’m sorry, and thank you, all begin to be learned at home.
Children learned from their home on how to be honest, to be on time, diligent, show sympathy to their friends and show respect to the elders and teachers. At home, children learn to be clean, where to dispose garbage, to be organized and take care of their things and respect other’s belongings.
Teachers only reinforce the education that children receive at home from theirparents/guardians.Sadly,someparentssometimeshandedovertheir first hand responsibilities for their children to the teachers at school. Parents might be lacking something or forget to impose discipline in their home. It is true that many adults who were spanked as children may be well-adjusted and caring people today. But according to the research, when compared with children who are not spanked, children who are spanked are more likely to become adults who are depressed, use alcohol, have more anger, hit their own children, hit their spouses, and engage in crime and violence.
However, the Lord also said that train up your child in a way he/ she should grow and when he/ she is old he/ she will not depart from it. In addition, the Holy word, though, the appropriate and restrained physical discipline of children is a good thing and contributes to the well-being and correct upbringing of the child. Many Scriptures do in fact promote physical discipline. “Don't fail to correct your children. They won't die if you spank them. Physical discipline may well save them from death” (Proverbs 23:13-14; see also 13:24; 22:15; 20:30). The Bible strongly stresses the importance of discipline; it is something we must all have in order to be productive people, and it is much more easily learned when we are young. Children who are not disciplined often grow up rebellious, have no respect for authority, and as a result find it difficult to willingly obey and follow the moral standard.
