Public Schools are Changing
In the past all classroom and school buildings are simple and mostly bare in construction. As educational process evolves, the desk changed into armchairs; the board at some has white boards as well; and each classroom have their own comfort room. Some classrooms were renovated by the small salaries of teachers, others were projects of PTAs and some from sponsored generous philanthropist. But nowadays its not that same old practice we all think it is. Our government has been listening its people to change each classroom and buildings as they renovate some of them. As we see little progress we are amazed that each classroom has more to offer than before. Nowadays the newly renovated classrooms have comfort rooms with small lavatory to make our pupils always wash their hands after going to it. Some renovated classrooms have swing out two doors that is safer for pupils if an earthquake happens. Others have iron and plastic plated armchairs that is color blue, the color of DepEd that can entice learning and cool in the eyes while inside the classroom. And now they are starting to make classroom floors in tiles. It looks more refreshing and cleaner. The renovated classrooms have very good lighting and well-ventilated also because it has wall and ceiling fans installed. And its not only classrooms they renovate but also the school fences and signages of its name. Here in Angeles City, there are almost 90% renovated school fence that are uniformly styled according to the standard set by the DepEd. It is painted set for public schools’identity and with the name signages that is amazingly made from stainless.
The school names that are shown before are sometimes in an iron arc formation or painted on the perimeter fence. But now it is astonishing to see school names in stainless and embossed on walls near the main gates of each school. How great and it makes you feel that you are not like studying anymore in an old public school environment. It makes you feel that you are studying in a private school because it looks amazing.
This kind of changes helps learners to feel secured and proud to study in that kind of school because it features quality construction. And as we feel that your school looks great, it adds confidence and motivation for our learners to go in school daily and learn in this private school like classrooms. I think this is the best way that local government is doing their best to create a better school system for its people and best way to spend the taxes in right amenities that people should enjoy the privilege. With this kind of actions made by the local governments using the local funds for the school, therefore we cannot only offer quality and effective learning to our pupils but also a safer, child friendly environment to our pupils.
