AWARE of the consequenc­es of breaking minimu health protocols, Team Morales, lws by mayoralty aspirant Marino "Boking" Morales and his Vice Mayor bet Christian Halili held a consultati­ve meeting with residents of Sitio Dungan, Tennyson, Dapdap and Fiesta Communitie­s in January 3, 2022 at the residence of councilor aspirant Jerry Basi l i o.

On hand to deliver their respective platforms aside from Morales and Halili were councilor wannabes Eddie Sotto, Jeng Yumul, Jerry Basilio, Carlo Rivera, Jun de Leon, Mel Yutuc< Ike Morales and Board Member aspirant Dwight Oliver Morales.

Each candidate delivered animated spiels in the impromptu program emceed by Gani.

Last to speak were Vice Mayoralty candidate Christian Halili who narrated the contributi­ons of his father, the late mayor Fred C. Halili and uncle, the late Tars C. Halili, and of course mayoralty candidate Boking Morales who took the thunder on all the aspirants by narrating his administra­tion's achievemen­ts considered his enduring legacies, viz: Mabalacat cityhood, Mabalacat National high school, Mabalacat City College and other locallyfun­ded public high schools, new Mabalacat city hall in Xevera, three birthing stations: one in Dapdap and two in Sapang Biabas, substantia­l increase in income, from 33 million in 1995 to P1.7 billion in 2017, free housing for the victims of Mt. Pinatubo thru his efforts and of the late Cong Carmelo F. Lazatin and PGMA, non displaceme­nt of the urban poor families at the PNR right-of-way, from Lakandula to Tabun thru his efforts and kindness of PGMA, Mabalacat Dialysis Center at Sapang Biabas in 2017, Mabalacat Bus Terminal that spurred socio-economic developmen­t in the city, RA 9400, gaining parts of Clark Freeport

and airport, land for the landless at Barangays Dau, Mangalit, Duquit, Sapang Biabas and Bical, lobbied for the full-blown ingress and egress at Dau-Duquit and Mabiga interchang­es. His other enduring legacies which nobody can deny are: the active participat­ion of the multi-sectoral groups in community building by way of Barangay Day monthly activities which feature, among others: free medical, dental, eye cataract operation, anti-rabies vaccinatio­n, free haircut, free massage for senior citizens, free circumcisi­on, all these with variety of snacks, establishm­ent of Caragan Festival, a tribute to our IP/Aeta communitie­s, being a three-time recipient of the DILG-SILG seal of good governance from 2015-2017, establishm­ent of the Mabalacat tourism office and the annual Miss Mabalacat, erection of the Goddess of World Peace shrine and Camp Dau memorial in Clark, making Mabalacat City a residentia­l, commercial and industrial hub which the current administra­tion promotes as its accomplish­ment.

Other significan­t achievemen­ts of the Morales administra­tion are: concreting of all barangay roads, excluding those that were not turned over to the city government, commercial­ization of downtown Mabalacat (Poblacion), through the presence of multinatio­nals food chains McDonald's, Jollibee, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Puregold, Mang Inasal, 7/ 11.

Added features were: Free burial for the less fortunate of the populace, the Mabalacat Public Cemetery located at Barangay Mangalit, saving Barangays Tabun and Sapang Balen from extinction from the map of Mabalacat after the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, transforma­tion of Tabun into a complete barangay with the investment­s of Xevera, Ayala, Robinson, Fiesta Communitie­s making northern Mabalacat a prime community.

Morales also conceptual­ized and pushed the constructi­on of the Clark-MabalacatA­ngeles perimeter road from SM Clark to San Joaquin and initiated the constructi­on of a police station in Dau, solicited four lots from Don Pepe Hizon at San Rafael Village, Barangay Mabiga that paved the way for the constructi­on of police and fire stations.

Also, his administra­tion purchased a lot at Filhomes Mabiga for the constructi­on of Seniors and PWD building. All of the above achievemen­ts are existent and tangible and can be verified for their existence.

ALFREDO S. RAMOS, the longest-serving President of Fiesta Communitie­s Tabun Mabalacat City Homeowners Associatio­n, Inc. (FCTMCHAI), was appointed chairman of the Peace and Order Committee of Barangay Tabun by Chairman Danilo de Leon.

As chairman, Ramos oversaw the general peace and order situation of Barangay Tabun, which includes Fiesta Communitie­s and coordinate­s closely with the officials of the barangay and is part of the group that resolves issues brought before the committee.

He has since resigned as President of the Associatio­n and was replaced by Police Lieutenant Dennis J. dela Cruz.

Ramos continues to function as chairman of the Peace and Order committee of Barangay Tabun and remains a member of the Board of Directors of the Associatio­n.
