Top Reasons Why Teachers Are Wary of Using Digital Technology During Pandemic

Technology seems to be involved in most parts of education today, and many schools are doing an excellent job of implementing it. It's remarkable how much technology is available now to make learning more engaging and simpler. Most teachers, you'd imagine, are well-versed in these techniques and use them daily in their classes.

Even though the use of technology in the classroom has expanded dramatically in recent years, there are still teachers struggling with it, feeling left behind, and are unsure how to incorporate it into their education. The worst thing is that some teachers refuse to utilize any instructional technology.

Educational technology provides several advantages to students and teachers, and they must be aware of the specifics of how it might enhance their performance. And believe me, teachers will react since it is their primary goal. Teachers strive to help kids learn quicker and better by providing them with easy tools that assist them.

The quantity and quality of training provided to teachers on utilizing the various platforms is relatively limited. Of course, someone will be hesitant to use a tool that they are unfamiliar with, even if the school board requires it. Please remember that adopting a new system is often a gradual process. It is critical to commit the necessary people and resources to ensure a successful implementation.

Many teachers are used to doing things the old-fashioned way, with paper and pencils: designing lessons on writing, delivering assessments to students on paper, evaluating tests on paper, and so on. This is very detrimental not just to the educational system but also to the environment. There is nothing wrong with having your own teaching method, but you must accept the adjustments that happen with growth. These teachers often believe that technology cannot perform a decent job, has security flaws, that learners can easily cheat, that automated systems compute grades incorrectly, and other concerns. They don't want to be replaced by a learning platform and are worried about giving up control over how they teach.
