Practical Tips to Stop Overthinking and Unload Your Mind

Louie J. Bernabe

Our mind is our body's CPU. A CPU executes programmed instructions to add, compare, and move data. The human brain, like the CPU, uses data gathered by the senses to help the body survive. Its purpose is to manage information, and it uses the rest of the body to gather information and act on it.

A computer's CPU with more loaded things than its capacity will be in trouble and might malfunction. Also, in our minds, things are loaded daily. From basic to complex, from our family to the community. Early in the morning, simple things like preparing food need to be decided. What to wear, prioritize, and many other considerations are placed on our minds, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic strikes. What will happen next? What if I die with the virus? Is it the end of the world? If you let your mind, be full, information traffic will be rampant— more things to forget and the inability to think wisely. Worries will be created, and the heart will be affected. The body will be affected.

A healthy mind denotes a healthy body; you unload your mind there. Set it free from worries and stress so that everything works properly. How to unload? Take this as simple tips.

1.Learn to meditate when you wake up in the morning.

2.Pray and lean on God's power.

3.Read God's word and ask for His wisdom.

4.Start your day with worship songs and let your soul receive the Spirit.

5.Always think positively.

6.Memorize God's promises in the Bible and live on them.

7.Do not force things to happen according to your will and ways. It is out of your control!

8.Always trust Him and say, "Thy Will Be Done."
