FAB Central Terminal rising soon
MARIVELES, Bataan--Thursday, April 7, 2022, marked the beginning of rising opportunities for the Freeport Area of Bataan as the groundbreaking of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) Central Terminal, took place and the construction and marketing for the project started.
This central terminal facility will cater to all types of vehicles, linking the Freeport Area to the rest of Mariveles and neighboring towns. It will not only decongest traffic in Mariveles, but also provide growth opportunities for businesses and convenience for commuters.
This facility will serve all kinds of public utility vehicles, linking the Freeport Area of Bataan to the rest of Bataan, its neighboring towns, Mariveles and all the way to other provinces in Luzon and the National Capital Region. There are 16 bays for provincial and minibuses, 20 slots for jeepneys and UV express, and 26 for tricycle units.
For the convenience of commuters, there will also be 22 kiosks and two small restaurant facilities. At its capacity, it can service 1,500 individuals every hour with provision for expansion in keeping with demand. The rest of the facility may also host interim parking for the transport sector until a multi-level parking is built over the next 3-5 years.
FAB Central is a mixeduse development project of a 5.9 hectare-property, birthed by the partnership of Hausland Group and the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB). It is divided into five major zones including a central transport terminal facility, a commercial mall area with several drive- thru prime retail commercial lots spaces, a heritage tourism spot featuring The Bataan Death March, commercial spaces area for tech- based companies, BPOs and POGOs and interim dormitories convertible to hotels and recreation areas
Joining the event were Bataan Governor Abet S. Garcia and Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Bataan 2nd District Congressman Joet Garcia III, Hausland Group President and Chairman, Wilfredo M. Tan and the newly appointed Hausland Group CEO Atty.
Christopher Ryan Tan, as well as the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda and Deputy Administrator Alewijn Aidan K. Ong.
Hausland Group, through its development brand, FIESTA Communities, has been developing affordable housing in Mariveles since 2018. Now it seeks to play a part in the growth of the area and give back to the province and community through this project.
Wilfredo M. Tan, President and Chairman of Hausland Group, said after finding success in planting subdivision roots in the area, it is time to venture into commercial leasing projects. (PR)
