Lacson warns versus electing ‘thieves, incompetent’ into office

-

MANILA – Independent presidential candidate Senator Panfilo Lacson on Thursday warned against choosing thieves, incompetent or incoherent candidates in next month's elections so the country will not be burdened by their lackluster leadership if they win.

Pag ang ating naboot, kulang kulang sa pagiisip, anim taon tayo palubog ng palubog (If a thief wins, we will be robbed for six years. If we elect a pretender, we will be duped for six years. If we vote an incompetent candidate, we will continue to sink for six years),” Lacson said as he barnstormed Mindoro Oriental.

He also highlighted the importance for 67 million Filipino voters to cast their ballots in the May 9 national and local elections.

It will be a crucial day when we become sovereign and choose who will lead us in the next three and six years,” Lacson added.

Lacson’s running mate, Senate president Vicente Sotto III, remained in Manila where he signed 128 bills Thursday, a statement from the campaign said.

Meanwhile, senatorial candidate former police chief Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar campaigned in Cavite which he first visited in December 2021 and held a dialogue with his supporters.

This is my way to connect with townmates by going to communities and meeting people directly),” he said. (PNA)
