On School Leadership

Leaders could either be in-born and or made. The one to lead should be the role model for others. We want to be leaders in our own right, but what makes a good leader? Should be the one who gives orders or commands, or one who looks strong and stern in the group? A true leader should possess the right makings being one.

Good leaders take forefront. In schools, a good school head should have the right organization for his teachers. In its school mission, it is in his lead to provide the quality education and holistic formation for the students. The school leader must have the vision to establish a legacy based on the mission stated. A good school head bears and maintains the good name of the school under his administration. The goals set for the school should be clear and in good standards for the teacher and subordinates to follow. Everyone in school should perform in their work effectively to achieve and maintain the process to earn the good reputation of the institution. To be a leader in school is to dream big and big enough to handle to face the obstacles along the way and knows how to control the each situation by proper managing.

There many ways to lead the direction of success. All these should start at one point – “Knowing Oneself First”. A good school head must know his strengths and use these to overcome his weaknesses. To drive an enforcing effort to excel these potentials is a quality of a good school leader. One should learn from his failures and use them to intensify him from weaknesses and firmly believe doing this. Best school leaders innovate and never imitate from what are available in their planning. This will help them handle big problem by making wise decisions as they go along in their management. He must know to set priorities from good judgment and focus the concentrations on areas needing most attention. With these, it is noted in top school heads that they lead by examples in their respective school to get good results in their school management handling.
