They are marNed by various features including access to an abundance of technology tools, and the ability to collaborate and maNe individual contributions in an un paralleled scale. To be effective in the st century, learners must be able to show literacy and a range of functional and critical thinNing sNills related to information, media, and tech nology.
:hat is literacy" /iteracy has always been a collection of cultural and communicative practices shared among members of particular groups. $s society and technology change, so does literacy. %ecause technology has increased the intensity and comple[ity of literate environments, the st century demands that a literate person must possess a wide range of abilities and competencies. These literacies are multiple, dynamic, and malleable. $ctive and successful participants in this st century global society must be able to

$s we are in a pandemic brought about by covid , it is impossible to hold classes face to face. ,t is therefore a must for the people involved in the teaching learning process to be adept in the information technology in order to survive. Through the use of technology, distance learning as a modality is useful in this time where covid is not slowing down.
