MAPEH has wide scope among the learning areas being taught in school. It has four components such as Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health that needs to reinforce the curriculum to the holistic development of learners. This subject provides performances to learners in very artistic and creative ways. One may enjoy, love, and instill learning MAPEH through various and engaging activities. According to research, MAPEH contributes much to the curriculum and well-being of an individual. It proves that MAPEH subject develop learners’ imagination and innovation in facing the reallife challenges. Many believe that this is enjoyable, fun, and exciting when played outside the classroom setting. Today, DepEd strengthens the curriculum for the total learning experiences of children. It needs to intensify both elementary and secondary learners to equipped them with the desired learning outcomes. The four components have great importance to every Filipino child as they learn the concepts and skills in MAPEH. Music is one way of expressing feelings and emotions. It enriches the mind and gives self-confidence for the day. Truly, it is an art form with interactions to human and raises one’s mood, bring positive outlook, and engage mental day. It also influences people to boost memory, reduce depression and anxiety, improve response to pain, and help you work out more effectively. Arts focuses on the preservation of the rich culture and heritage of the Philippines. This component has given emphasis on the artistic skills, processes, and experiences of learners. It develops the following skills like motor, language, social and inventive skills through arts. It also allows to process one/s emotions and understand the environment where you belong. Physical Education promotes an active and healthy lifestyle to learners as well as the mental health. It provides many activities that enhances one’s overall health. By integrating P.E in our daily life, we are making your health a priority now and in the future. Most learners learn best by doing or hands-on learning or kinesthetic learners. Health education is the concept of health more than the absence of disease. Health must be the priority today since we are still in the pandemic time. Students with healthy lifestyle are active, focus and leads to class, and achieves more in school. They need to engage and value health for them to be productive and functional individual in the society. MAPEH will become part of the daily lives, both in school and out of school. Indeed, teacher’s competence in teaching this subject is a must. A good MAPEH curriculum also enables all to enjoy and succeed in many kinds and performance activities. It is a performance subject that needs to develop understanding of knowledge, skills, and application in the daily living.
