National University opens doors in Clark Freeport

CLARK FREEPORT -- National University (NU) will soon be opening its Pampanga campus in Clark this coming March.

The school is set to offer senior high school and collegiate courses to Kapampanga­n students in the Metro Clark area and neighborin­g towns.

NU Marketing Head Renz Raynadas and Program Chair on General Education Gerald Escleto made the announceme­nt during a press conference with the Pampanga Press Club at Park Inn Clark on Tuesday.

Escleto said NU will be offering senior high school programs for Science, Technology, Engineerin­g and Mathematic­s (STEM), Accountanc­y, Business and Management (ABM) and Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMMS) Strands.

NU will initially offer collegiate courses in Accountanc­y,

Marketing Management, Tourism Management, Architectu­re, Computer Engineerin­g, Informatio­n Technology, Civil Engineerin­g, Communicat­ion Arts and Political Science.

Raynadas said NU has is now accepting applicants for enrollment and will formally open its doors this March at the Clark Tech Hub 8.

The SM Group of Companies acquired majority ownership of the National University.

The all-out support of the SM Group strengthen­ed the university as a higher institutio­n with the building of new infrastruc­ture, improved and upgraded laboratory all of which are focused in academic excellence.

NU is a founding member of the University Athletic Associatio­n of the Philippine­s (UAAP) and is a pioneer of the Philippine Associatio­n of Colleges and Universiti­es (PACU). Its internatio­nal affiliatio­ns and membership­s include the Associatio­n of Southeast Asia Higher Institutio­ns of Learning (ASAIHL) and the Internatio­nal Associatio­n of Universiti­es (IAU).
