POPCOM FILM COMPETITION

The Population Welfare Division (POPCOM) of City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) with the coordination of Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School have a film competition about Adolescent Health and Development Program (AHD) particularly avoiding teenage pregnancy which is the number one program of the division. The competition is open to all students of Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School. It aims to show the possible effect and danger of teenage pregnancy, moreover to give awareness to the youth who will watch the films. The film will be evaluated with the following criteria; relevance to the theme (30%), creativity and storytelling (20%), cinematography and editing (20%) social media presence (10%), and overall impact (20%). Important dates are March 13-21, 2023 for the submission of concept paper; announcement of top five films via Facebook and email on March 24, 2023, submission of first draft of the movie at POPCOM office on April 11, 2023, meeting of top five film makers, script writers and editors for revision and critics on April 12, 2023, final submission of final output and poster of films on April 15, 2023, posting of winners via official Facebook page of POPCOM on April 22, 2023, awarding and courtesy call of winners on April 24, 2023. Winners will have the following prizes; Php.2,000 for the most shared films, Php.2,000 pesos for two consolation prize, Php.5,000 for the third place, Php.7,000 for the second place and Php.10,000 for the first place.
