SETTING CORE VALUES IN THE WORKPLACE

At an early age, values taught to an individual to have decent thoughts, actions, and beliefs in life. These values help him to grow and develop his personality and character in dealing with other people. Since every individual and institution have hundreds of decisions to make every day in their chosen career, setting values will help them to succeed in their work. Positive values teach individual to imbibe the right path in life. A person who grows with good values become responsible individual and he can do right and wrong things. There are three essential core values that one should possess in performing their job. The wisdom, knowledge, and character which requires work ethics in the workplace. The employer-employee relationships need to build strong work ethics to achieve great results in a company or institution. Employer-employee relationships need to maintain sense of trust to live with success. Generally, it tends to be more productive and more efficient in the work setting. Strong relationships prove the agency to create a pleasant working environment for the employee with increased confidence and morale which leads to better performance. Many Filipino values inform and influence every worker, how they work and live in this modern times. The opportunities become the main concern to have better future that helps them succeed. When they work towards a common goal, truly they will perform better align in the direction of the vision and mission of the company. It also lifts everyone to inspire others and come up with a higher moral standard in the place of work. When a worker too has positive outlook in work and great enthusiasm, it will take and inspire others to do the same. This strengthens the person to nurture the intelligences as well as the innate values he has. In life, one needs guide in his decisions, behaviors, and actions through the values learned in school and the community. Similarly in the workplace, they need sense of purpose and discover their self-worth especially in the work setting. The guided principles embody an individual to strive harder in their day-to-day operations. Ultimately, having good and positive values in the workplace may give you enough courage to face the real challenges of having job. When your values are aligned with your work you will find support and energize your work throughout the day.
