Angeles City hosts Women’s Month art exhibit
ANGELES CITY— The city government here is hosting an art exhibit specifically curated for Women’s Month.
The visual art exhibit dubbed as “OBRANG BABAYI” was launched on March 20, 2023 at SM City Clark Event Center.
This is in cooperation with SM City Clark, Gender and Development Office, and Pamitipun King Panyulung Ning Kalalangan At Amanang Kabiasnan Kapampangan (Artist Co l l ect i ve) .
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., graced the opening ceremony of the art exhibit by giving assurance that the significance of Angeleña women will always be recognized in the society under his leadership.
"Our administration will always exert extra efforts to provide programs for our Angeleña Women, especially for their social welfare, livelihood and talent," he asserted.
Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas are supervising the conduct of the art exhibit through the Angeles City Tourism Office which will be open to the public until March 31, 2023.
Among the participating artists are Badet Tiotuico, Marylou Lilibeth Millan Dumas, Dallas Harvison, May Ann Reyes, Jing Sararana, Ailyn A. Gonzales, Elizabeth Sison, Jessica Julia Jose-Cariño, Chelsea Aven Pan, Persie Gusman, Heidy Macabenta, Maricar Yabut-Sangalang, Ann Lumba Vitug, Rafael Yves (Bam), Minerva Zamora Arceo, Bianca Coreen Sangalang, Camille Joy Pingul, Nadine De Torres, Maria Kathrina Charmaine
Santiago, Jennel Bodino and Karla de Guzman Vel asqu ez.
Participants also received exclusive loot bags courtesy of Beautéderm products for sharing their creative talents as local artists of Angeles City.
Lazatin thanked Beautéderm President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche-Tan for the support to the exhibit.
Also present during the exhibit are Vice Mayor Ma. Vicenta Vega-Cabigting, OIC Gender and Development Office Mina Cabiles, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office Head Irish Llego, SM City Clark Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni and Curator Norman Tiotuico.
Lazatin has been partnering with various malls to hold free monthly exhibits in continuously providing avenues to promote the works of local artists of Angeles City.
