BEING TLE TEACHER
JESUSAN L. GARCIA
Being a teacher in Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and having aspirations of becoming a master teacher, one of my duties will be to assist teachers in developing their teaching abilities by assisting them in developing their attitudes, character, and knowledge. Teachers are considered to be the most valuable members of the human resource pool since it is their responsibility to put the curriculum into action.
Consequently, the efficacy of these programs is essential to the accomplishment of the objectives of any educational programming.
It is the position of the Department of Education (DepEd) that competent teachers are the single most essential component in establishing the academic reputation of a school. As a result, it is of the utmost importance to ensure that the quality of education is maintained by ensuring that the teachers has qualification.
The conviction that teachers of TLE have a moral duty to equip their students with the knowledge and skills that are necessary for them to become proficient in the several technical subfields that are associated with the topic.
Moreover, there are three primary areas in which teachers TLE have the potential to enhance their abilities: subject matter expertise and pedagogy, curriculum and planning, and varied student populations. The ability to communicate effectively in the classroom, the use of teaching and learning resources, particularly those that make use of technology, and the attention paid to the requirements of students who are coping with challenging circumstances are all significant areas that should be improved upon. Without a shadow of a doubt, there are enhancements that need to be made in order to make instructors more effective.
The overriding objective in carrying out this column is to provide assistance to teachers of TLE in enhancing their teaching methods and the level of education they provide to their students.
