FIGHTING BULLYING: LET'S SPEAK UP AND MAKE A CHANGE

-

EMMY B. SIERRA

In today's world, we see both good and bad things on the internet. Bullying is one of the bad things that hurt people a lot, making them feel sad and not good about themselves. But we're not alone in this fight. People are coming together to stop bullying and make things better.

Bullying isn't just something that happens at school. It can happen anywhere, even online. Did you know that almost one out of every four kids has been bullied? That's a lot of people feeling hurt. But what makes it worse is that bullying isn't just happening in person anymore. With smartphones and computers, it can happen online too, making it even harder to escape.

But don't lose hope! People all over the world are working hard to stop bullying. Schools are making plans to stop bullying before it happens, teaching us to be kind to each other. Social media sites are also changing their rules to stop cyberbullying and make the internet safer for everyone.

Something cool that's happening is people sharing their stories. When people who've been bullied talk about what happened to them, it helps others understand and want to help. Their stories are like sparks that start big fires of change. They're using social media, telling their stories, and joining groups to stand up against bullying. It's making a difference!

As the day ends, the fight against bullying goes on. But even in the dark, there's a little bit of light shining through—a promise that kindness can win over meanness. Whether it's being nice to someone at school or speaking up against bullying, every little thing helps. Let's all stand together against bullying, using our voices to make a world where everyone feels safe and respected.
