MANILA – Most parts of the country will continue to experience warm weather and isolated rain showers due to the easterlies, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Mindanao, however, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay.

Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by the easterlies and localized thund er st or m s.

PAGASA forecaster Obert Badrina said no weather disturbance was monitored inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

"It is likely that no tropical cyclone will enter or develop inside PAR throughout the week," he said.
