Everything in life is in constant change. It is constantly in the process of becoming something else. Nothing stays exactly as it is. According to Abela as cited by Santos (2022) “the world of work evolves it offers to learn new things and anyone involved must be prepared for professional growth. Educational institutions do not exist in a vacuum. They are influenced by the societal events constantly occurring around them through various media. Several developments in the workplace changes in students’ demographics and economic trends forces educational institution to change. Teachers have the responsibility and must be enthusiastic to keep abreast to new development in education so as to continue to develop their professional practice. Professionally educators’ goals are to grow, improve, enrich, and influence students in and out of the classroom, but sometimes teachers perceive themselves already to know what they need to know, and likely to portray themselves to be good teachers. These perceptions justified or not can be a powerful barrier to make them stagnant and chose their mind to inevitable change” One of the most important elements of service education situation is the stimulation of continuous professional growth and study. Stimulation results when interests are aroused to the extent that they respond with enthusiasm and purpose. One can observe that more interests and enthusiasm are manifested in situations in which teachers share in planning, executing and evaluating results that in which they carry out orders which have been drawn up independently and arbitrarily from them. However, teachers must continue to participate in programs designed for their development. The education that they impart plays the key role in determining the future prospects of the students. Professional growth is an investment that will yield considerable returns. One must keep up with the new development, explore new approaches in teaching, and must undergo continuous training and development so as to stay head with the trend and not to be left behind the tail of history. It takes a lot of courage and efforts to attain teaching excellence. It is essential and inevitable for teachers to grow professionally in order to enhance professionally for themselves and for their pupils.
