Greater Heights
WHERE: LRI Design Plaza, Makati City
Celebrating 13 years of promoting Filipino artistry and design, LRI Design Plaza, Makati's pioneer one-stop art and design hub, paid tribute to one of the pillars of Philippine Modernism, the Filipino master painter, butterfly hunter and lepidopterist Justin "Tiny" nyuda.
Co-presented by interior designer Jigs ranada adefuin, the one-man exhibition entitled "Of Colours and Places" comprised a Butterfly Wall showcasing some of the artist's rare butterfly collection, a Memory Lane featuring nyuda's artworks, and a Butterfly Art Installation designed by adefuin crafted with 500 stainless steel butterflies, symbolising nyuda's career and how his love for butteflies took his artistic career to greater heights.
Previous LRI anniversary exhibits have featured the architects Francisco “bobby” mañosa, alice erfe and father and son lor and ed calma.
