Since entering the whirlwind local market of interior design and home concepts, Adefuin Design Studio has built a name for itself around client satisfaction. The latest milestone, a recognition from the 2017 Asia Pacific Property Awards, affirms the Studio’s steady commitment to high standards and the best practices in the industry.
The Awards committee is composed of 70 independent experts across related fields. Chaired by members of the House of Lords from the UK parliament, the International Property Awards’ main criteria focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and a commitment to sustainability. Now on its 26th year, the prestigious Awards marks the finest in design, bringing the best brands front and center on the stage of the world market.
Being the sole Filipino awardee in the Interior Design: Apartment Category of the regional (Asiapacific) leg, Adefuin Design Studio has realized its intention to bring recognition to the country. The Studio’s motto for all its projects, design excellence in every interior, is also affirmed by this accolade.
The prestige that the Studio gains over the years finds itself rooted in head designer Jigs Adefuin’s passion for all things related to design. Both work and leisure inform Adefuin’s continued education in the craft – his local and international travels bringing him across various cultures and art forms from which he can draw inspiration, abreast of ever emerging innovations in the field. A firm believer in the potential for Filipino designers to bring unique touches to the global scene, Adefuin hopes that the outcome of the Awards drives more local designers and studios to continue honing their craft.
At five years old, the entry project to the Awards attests to the timeless yet future-facing nature of Adefuin Design Studio’s aesthetic. Built on the quiet confidence of trusting in what one can offer to the table, the Studio aspires for yet more. Cognizant of the coming ASEAN Integration, Adefuin sees a window into deriving more artistic and aesthetic inspiration from the region, as well as closer collaboration between the local and regional design scenes. And to reach out to budding artists and designers, Adefuin also plans to begin teaching at a local design school, paying forward all the Studio’s learnings thus far. As art and life inspire each other, so do passion and excellence, and Adefuin Design Studio is a testament to that.
