Ode to Art

Elegance underlines every endeavour of Molteni&c and this year is no exception. Their installation was envisaged as an art collector’s home, filled with veritable artworks sitting alongside their equally collectible furniture pieces. The sophisticated scenography by creative director Vincent Van Duysen was the perfect foil for pieces old and new, which included the screw-free Woody chair—a debut collaboration with designer Francesco Meda—as well as an extension to Ron Gilad’s successful Teorema collection. Molteni&c also reissued Gio Ponti’s D.859.1 table, which can seat 10, in its original finishes of solid ash with bronze ferrules; it is also available in darker toned wood and smaller dimensions.
