WHAT: Ito Curata’s 60th Birthday WHERE: Curata Residence, Ayala Alabang

Well-loved fashion designer ITO CURATA recently welcomed guests to his beautiful home for the momentous “third anniversary of his 20th birthday”. Initially worried that many of his invitees wouldn’t be make it due to the early November holiday, Ito’s fears were allayed as he welcomed more than 75 well-wishers who arrived for a fun-filled evening of wining, dining, singing, and even a little dancing.

The invitation encouraged guests to wear outfits inspired by the American hit TV show Dynasty and many did. One of the highlights of the evening was when the designer’s 13-year-old son, TAJ, surprised his father by playing Bohemian Rhapsody on the grand piano to the delight of the crowd.

Aside from being humbled by a huge turn out, Ito was also thankful to receive many “couture” birthday cakes as presents. At last count, these beautiful sweet concoctions numbered 16!
