Home-grown textile brand Tai Ping and architecture studio AB Concept come together to present Nephele, a capsule collection of four stunning couture carpets. Named for a cloud nymph created by Zeus in Greek mythology, the Nephele carpets are inspired by aeroplane views seen by AB Concept founders Ed Ng and Terence Ngan during their many travels. Polis, for instance, evokes a nighttime city view lit up by streetlights, while Oread is a depiction of what Hong Kong looks like from above, with the city’s mountains peaking through the clouds and fog. The collection is a perfect blend of AB Concept’s luxurious design talent with Tai Ping’s innovative craftsmanship.
