Following its forays into the outdoor realm—with projects created for yachts and resorts—flexform officially unveils a collection of stylish seating systems, tables, and accessories designed for the outdoors. In the Philippines, the Flexform Outdoor Collection is displayed exclusively at Flexform Manila.
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s design DNA and the invaluable contributions of some of the world’s esteemed names in the industry such as Antonio Citterio, Mario Asnago, and Claudio Vender, Flexform reincompositional flexibility and a high degree of customisation; suitable materials ensure optimum performance outdoors. The outdoor version of the Vulcano sofa has padded cushions encased in a special lining made of breathable water-repellent fabric. Meanwhile, the vast collection of outdoor upholstery fabrics guarantees excellent resistance not only to weather and sun but also to chlorine and salt water.
Fly, Citterio’s versatile table line, expands with the addition of a custom-crafted version, aptly called Fly Outdoor. The purity of its design, along with its practicality and variety of finishes and sizes, lends the Fly Outdoor table exceptional decor flexibility.
Also by Citterio is the Peter Outdoor armchair and footstool, a repurposed version of the original Peter armchair released in 2004. This year, it makes a comeback with thoroughly vetted materials appropriate for outdoor living. Its natural, light-hearted charm is still there.
Asnago and Vender on the other hand breathe new life to the iconic Moka chair that has been part of the Flexform collection since 1985. Now in a relevant outdoor version, the original design put up its striking modernity for interpretation in innovative materials with outstanding weather-resistance.
The Ortigia Outdoor is the al fresco version of the eponymous family of seating elements featuring traditional charm infused with a contemporary vibe.
Completing the lineup is the Phuket ottoman, a functional and sleek cube covered in woven polypropylene fibre, which can be used as a seat or pulled up alongside the tables in the outdoor collection.
