This month's cover shoot gets a touch of dramatic glamour as we put seven of this year's Generation T on centre stage

-

t’s that time of the year when we name 50 of this generation’s movers and shakers. A group shoot is never easy given erratic schedules and mutliple layouts to cover. But with a clear vision backed by experience, we were able to pull off a shoot with a flair for the dramatic while staying true to the Generation T brand— young and impactful. Seven faces from this year’s Generation T list made it to the cover. They arrived at Maybank Theatre for an afternoon packed with solo and group shots as well as interviews for the magazine and website. We were fortunate to have designer Rosenthal Tee who brought clothes for herself and the other female subjects, social entrepreneur Reese Fernandez-Ruiz and singer Jess Connelly, who proved to be perfect muses for Rosenthal’s pieces. Designer Mark Bumgarner came in with his cheerful disposition while film director Paul Soriano managed to make it on time despite his hectic schedule that day. Clothing retailer Mike Concepcion was also able to squeeze in the shoot even if he just came home from a Los Angeles shoot with Jess. Photographer Jay Yao was present the whole day—arriving the earliest and was the last one to leave.

The vibe was hip, and the mood alive. Music played from the stereo while everyone was being glammed up and getting acquainted with one another. When the time came for the actual photoshoot, everybody delivered shot after shot.

Get to know these seven bright young personalities in our cover story on p 154 and the other Generation T listers in this issue's accompanying supplement.

Special thanks to Chiqui Batac and Martha Asuncion of Maybank Theatre for accommodating the whole team.
