FEARLESS FORECAST

ANZ Philippines CEO Anna Green and entrepreneurial guru Joey Concepcion share their outlook for 2019

-

"I am looking forward to learning more about how disruptive technology and digital transformation will change how we do business in Asia in the future. With their massive, young, digitally savvy consumer base, ASEAN markets are seen by most in business as presenting huge growth opportunities. Now is the right time to invest in learning what the future of business will look like in our region."

“I am optimistic that our economy will continue to move on an upward trend, as massive infrastructure projects start moving. I also foresee inflation being controlled as oil prices go down.

On our part at Go Negosyo, we aim to complement the efforts of the government with our own initiatives—mentoring more entrepreneurs, developing programmes, and creating more opportunities for MSMEs. We are investing most especially in mentorship and access to money and market by maximising platforms, both offline and online. Looking at the areas of opportunity, I believe that we can further grow in agriculture and tourism.

We are also seeking partnerships on the regional level through the ASEAN Mentors for Entrepreneurship Network (AMEN), which was launched so that we could learn from our Southeast Asian neighbours. We have much to learn, most especially from Thailand and Vietnam, when it comes to building a more dynamic tourism and agriculture industry.

I see a bright future for our country, so let’s be positive. It all starts with having the right mindset.”
