SLIM’S EXHIBITION AT SM FASHION HALL

-

For five years in a row, SM Supermalls and Slim’s Fashion & Arts School have teamed up for the annual Best of Student Work Exhibition which was held at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall in Ortigas.

Slim’s challenged its students’ creativity with this year’s theme, Alchemy, resulting in wearable creations that play up innovation, whimsicality, and sustainability.

Students were encouraged to use ordinary objects for their projects and to consider upcycling during the conceptualisation process. Among the more notable results were a hand-sewn barong Tagalog made with x-ray film, an elegant evening dress embellished with panels that look like stained glass, and a playful take on the classic terno made with various clothing labels sewn into the basic fabric.
