THE HORT’S 26TH ANNUAL FALL LUNCHEON

The Horticultural Society of New York, the environmental literacy advocate, held its 26th Annual Fall Luncheon at The Metropolitan Club.

The fundraising event honoured Sheila Stephenson with the Award of Excellence for being an effective board member for many years and Laura Turner Seydel with the Barbara A Margolis Award for continuing her father Ted Turner’s charity organisation called Captain Planet Foundation.

The Hort improves the lives of over 10,000 New Yorkers every year with programmes in public schools, as well as working with at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated, and the homeless.
