We start off the year with our first health and fitness issue featuring Felicia Atienza, the woman who has it all: beauty, brains, and brawn
With coffee in hand and a big smile on her face, our cover subject Felicia Hung Atienza arrived at the studio in high spirits, ready to take on the day’s challenge: to do a full work-out session for our cover shoot.
The morning rush didn’t seem to bother the Chinese International School Manila and Domuschola International School founder as she greeted photographer Patrick Diokno and the rest of the Philippine Tatler team. With her eagerness and determination to do well for the shoot, she brought along her training coach as well as sports accessories and exercise equipment that she uses at home—dumb bells, kettle bell, balance ball, and a barbell to name a few!
Her positive vibe and energy was evident throughout the six-hour shoot, putting the Tatler team at ease. She gamely tried on a couple of athleisure wear from local boutiques Homme et Femme and Off-White. Her petite frame and athletic physique made every outfit look so good, that in the end, it was difficult to choose which ones best suited her. Laughs echoed all over the studio as she and fashion editor Monique Madsen attempted to incorporate fishnet stockings in one of the more risqué ensembles. A pair of Off-White leggings with graphic details was evidently a favourite as the cover subject wouldn’t part with it in the end. Atienza shared that she maintains her admirable physique and rock-hard abs by working out five to six times a week. She also proved her discipline and dedication by snacking on fresh fruits, yoghurt, and sugar-free coffee all throughout this pictorial.
Adrenaline ran high in this challenging shoot, which still ended right on schedule. Atienza hugged and thanked everyone and expressed how happy she was with the photos which captured her admirable physique from all angles, and how she couldn’t wait to show them to her husband.
