A feature-length documentary directed by renowned Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino dedicated to Salvatore Ferragamo’s family history and life’s work has been selected for the 77th Venice Film Festival and will be released globally this month. Salvatore, Shoemaker of Dreams, which took three years to produce, delves into the fashion brand’s archives with the help of the Ferragamo family and never-before-seen tape recordings. “It is an honour that a director of Luca Guadagnino’s calibre would take an interest in our family history, adapting it for the big screen,” says Ferruccio Ferragamo, eldest son and chairman.
