A food writer and editor, Fenix writes a weekly column, “Country Cooking” for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Her book, Country Cooking: Philippine Regional Cuisines won the National Book Award Food Category in 2014. She chairs the Doreen Gamboa Fernandez Food Writing Award and is president of the Food Writers Associatio­n of the Philippine­s. In this issue, she writes about Philippine regional cuisine (p. 166).
