Tatler has taken us to a whole new height with its successes all these years, and I thank you for making us your partner and your friend.

The dedication and creativity of Irene Francisco and Anton San Diego’s team can only be matched with an unquenchable thirst for achievement. It’s not just a corporate anniversary, it’s an anniversary of a family that grew strong defying the odds. The relevance of your stories —which care and give importance to society’s needs as well as appreciate heroes of the Philippines— is highly commendable. On your special day, I want to congratulate and bless you with unparalleled prosperity and unrivalled corporate services.

Every Tatler Ball for me is memorable. It warms the heart to witness friends coming together for a night of giving to a worthy cause. Mercedes-Benz, as a proud partner of the Tatler Ball, honours this spirit of compassion of the Tatler Ball community.

For a society columnist like moi, the most ideal medium to write for is a luxury magazine like Tatler. Where else will I get a lot of materials for my column but from among the Tatler readers who come from the crème de la crème of Philippine society? My readers and friends are my column subjects as well, so it always feels like family. N’est-ce pas?

I was also recognised by Tatler as the Bon Vivant of the year during one of the Tatler Balls. I will always cherish that award as it defines exactly who I am. Tatler also treats me as part of the family, invites me in every event including their private staff parties. Because of the new direction of the magazine a few years ago, my column has stopped. It came in the opportune time because I was getting on in years and must physically slow down. But the memories with my Tatler family will always be cherished forever.

Congratulations Tatler on your 20th Platinum Anniversary! Through the decades, Tatler has been the guidepost for luxury fashion, glamorous lifestyle, contemporary society and exclusive features. Evolving innovations such as Tatler Traveller, Tatler Dining and Gen.T cement Tatler as a trailblazer and influencer. The extraordinary

Tatler journey evokes flashbacks of alluring elegance, impactful achievement and purposeful advocacy. We celebrate your resounding success and warmly wish for more blessings in the years to come.

When I think back on all the wonderful shoots which I have had the pleasure of doing for Tatler, my mind starts to swirl… From the wonderful destinations, locations, luxury hotels, old theatres, to the brilliant teams of hair, make-up and wardrobe stylists who brought their talent in abundance, to the exquisite subjects from movie stars, supermodels, politicians, movers and shakers. It started with Anna Bayle and most recently I was honoured to shoot Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey as they announced their love publicly… and the conduit for it all is my great friend Anton San Diego. Happy 20th Anniversary Tatler and thank you for letting me be a part of it!

Tatler is more than a magazine. it’s a lifestyle and a way of life—a life that celebrates passion, sophistication and appreciation of all things beau

tiful and innovative. My most memorable Tatler experience was our Tokyo shoot as we took a tour in architecture, wellness, great food and company with Sou Fujimoto. His work, Museum for Architecture + Residences, won for Calma Properties Inc the recent WAFX Awards 2021 technology category. Another project of Calma Properties Inc, the Cagbalete Sand Clusters, also won in the food category.

This is indeed a blissful 20th anniversary celebration because you can look back with great pride at the amazing issues and activities you produced. You have used the power of your magazine to inspire excellence and creativity, to raise funds for deserving non-profit organisations, to provoke ideas and exchange and to document for posterity the lives, homes and lifestyles of people in our society.

I would like to express my gratitude for generously hosting us at the yearly Tatler Ball, honouring my mother Anita Magsaysay Ho and myself; gently calming the anxiety one feels in a photoshoot; documenting my three children’s weddings; and importantly, giving me a chance to showcase some of Asia Society’s projects like Kulinarya, the Monique Lhuillier and Josie Natori fundraising fashion shows, as well as the Philippine Gold Exhibition in New York.

I applaud the clarity and brilliance in how you make your purpose clearly come through. May you continue your journey with joy, happiness and continued success!

On behalf of the SSI Group, I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to Tatler for achieving this momentous milestone!

Tatler has played a pivotal role in the growth of the SSI Group, and we will always cherish the collaborations we have done in the past that have given our Group and our brands’ stories more meaning and significance. There are far too many memories to recall that citing a few will not give justice to how valuable (and treasured) this relationship is. Allow me to instead thank you, Tita Irene, and the rest of the Tatler Family, for the partnership these past 20 years. Tatler has truly been instrumental in our Group’s ability to uphold a leadership position as the premier retailer of luxury and lifestyle concepts in the country. We are one with you in this progressive and transformative journey, excited to continue growing with

Tatler and making more moments count. Thank you, Tatler Family. All the best!

Congratulations on your anniversary!

Tatler is one of the longest partnerships that our company, Furnitalia, has made in the promotion of our products. Because of this, the market for our industries really have grown. For almost 20 years of togetherness, Tatler and Furnitalia have made so many memorable memories together. The best thing about memories is making them. Because of this, for me, all my memories with Tatler are precious.

Stephanie KienleGonzalez

My best memories of Tatler are the memorable photoshoots which have all been enjoyable. The team has always been creative, gracious, professional and a pleasure to engage with. I also fondly remember the experience of co-hosting the Tatler Ball and participating in charity fundraising efforts during a live auction. That was something new to me and I am grateful for the opportunity to partake in a meaningful cause.

We believe that Tatler is a force that inspires us in continuing and celebrating what we love doing. They make designing and building more fun.The moment that we find most memorable was when Tatler awarded our firm with the Creative Force Award for our efforts in pursuing Modern Filipino architecture and design. We were the first firm to be nominated as design icons particularly for our rebranding and interior space design at the Ninoy Aquino

International (NAIA 1). It was a realisation of an early vision to bring the country forward through modern Filipino design! We also find meaningful and memorable the collaboration we did with Tatler in featuring the NAIA renovation and how we’re able to bring together the story of the “worst airport” into a design-driven initiative that brought positivity to Filipinos.

Loren Legarda

Tatler has always been a staunch partner in my cultural advocacy. I thoroughly enjoyed our shoot in the Venice Biennale, where Anton San Diego joined me on the trip and we immersed ourselves in contemporary art. The Philippine pavilion and the art of Lani Maestro and Manuel Ocampo in our midst were such an inspiring setting for a historic and fabulous photoshoot! Thank you, Tatler, Anton, Irene, Chit, the professional team, for having me on the cover four times! Forever grateful!

Jessica Kienle-Maxwell

One of my fondest memories with Tatler was my first cover shoot for the magazine in 2012 with my sister Stephanie. Anton and the team graciously welcomed us on the set and guided us throughout the shoot, putting together a beautiful feature. It was a fun and glamorous day filled with amazing fashion, talented individuals and lots of laughter! I will forever be grateful to the Tatler team for this experience.

Ferdie Ong

My most memorable moment with Tatler was our collaboration to feature a top brand we carry, Minotti. Tatler gave us a 6-page spread and together we launched the Minotti collection that month as well.

Nanette Medved-Po

I can’t remember a Tatler Philippines experience that wasn’t an adventure. Whether it was piling into an Army convoy (earthquakes not withstanding) to make our way up to a remote school in Mindanao or hanging from trees in Koh Kood to get that perfect shot, time with Tatler meant something memorable was about to happen. Thank you for always supporting the work we do at HOPE and for shining a light on so many great causes over the years. I look forward to seeing how Tatler’s adventure will continue for at least another 20 years and know that the memories that you will build in the community will continue to be priceless. Wishing you every success.

Tatler tells the stories not only of the pillars and philanthropists of society, but also of

the changemakers and innovators who are trying to build a better world. I’m grateful to Tatler for coming along with me on my journey as Tourism Secretary and for the support the magazine has given to Filipino brands and destinations. I look forward to 20 more years of reading about exciting personalities and worthwhile advocacies, as well as feasting my eyes on the elegant fashion and stunning visuals that Tatler is known for. Congratulations on two decades of documenting Tatler the good life, Tatler!

Mons Romulo

Tatler has been part of many memorable moments in my life. I looked forward to the articles that were always very informative, giving its readers well researched, positive and inspiring stories not only about our country but all over the world. It is also an honour to be on the cover. How fast time flies and I am happy that Tatler is celebrating its 20th anniversary this September 2021. Sending my warmest congratulations to everyone on the Tatler team for this grand success, and may your magazine reach greater heights in the years to come.

Rick Santos

Bonnie and I have many fond memories of Tatler over the years. It has been a key partner of my company, Santos Knight Frank, as we grew and expanded the business from a few dozen staff to now 1,400-strong. Beyond its excellently written prose, Tatler has brought us many extraordinary experiences (from impeccably curated dinners to the most-awaited Tatler Ball), chronicled our nation-building and advocated many great and urgent causes. Life without Tatler is hard to imagine, Congratulations on your anniversary!

Inno Sotto

Tatler has always given me opportunity to be with friends. Photoshoots gave me a chance to work with people I was beginning to notice and admire as they made their presence felt by actively participating in advocacies the magazine was concerned about. The annual ball was always a celebration of friendships made over the years… and of their generosity.

Donnie & Crickette Tantoco

Tatler is one of the few print magazines we leaf through in this digital age. We like its engaging content, which is intelligent but also light, stimulating and entertaining. There’s always a diversity of related and mutually reinforcing topics relevant to the defining spirit of society today. The magazine itself is a work of art. We love the visual storytelling and how the photography and layout allow us to be transported and to immerse deeply in the narrative.

Tatler has also been instrumental in shaping trends, ideas and movements of our time. We feel privileged to have been part of some topics that Tatler consider to be culturally relevant to its audience. Our shoots and interviews in the past were a joyful bonding experience that were well planned and seamlessly executed. Thank you, Tatler and cheers to more decades of success!

Wig Tysmans

My first ever shoot for Tatler will always be my most memorable. It was for the first anniversary issue and the theme was Men in Black, featuring the former president, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and four of her Cabinet secretaries. (See “Defining Moments” pXXX.) We were asked to be in Malacañang before 8am but the shoot did not happen until 6pm. It was a busy day for the president; she even had to fly to Subic after lunch. I was getting worried and beginning to doubt if I could pull this shoot off with perfection because I was already feeling anxious and frustrated.

Around 5pm, the Cabinet secretaries started coming. And then she came, in a good mood so that was great. But we were told by security that we only had two hours

to shoot because the president will still join the birthday celebrations of Secretary Bert Romulo, who was also in the shoot. But we got an iconic cover shot that was picked up by newspapers both here and abroad. It was a rare to see the president of the country and four members of her Cabinet wearing dark shades a la Men in Black, the blockbuster of the season.

Tatler always gives me the difficult assignments, but I like them for the challenge. I also get to photograph the more mature subjects because lighting is crucial, a challenge to achieve as well.

Bea and Marga Valdes

We look back with fondness and delight at the many memories capturing the zeitgeist through Tatler’s lens. Congratulations on your 20th year and we look forward to celebrating more joyous anniversaries with you.

I was there when people were laughing about the idea of launching Tatler in the Philippines. They thought it foolish, pretentious and nonsensical. “How many people are going to read it?” they asked. But in the years that followed, from one scoop to another, from a most talked about cover to another and one stellar issue after another, the people behind Tatler

(hey Anton, Irene and team!) have slowly and surely established their authority, carved their credibility and showcased mastery of the market.

I have been fortunate to get to know the people behind the scenes in countless shoots that documented the here and now, been privileged to receive the last Bon Vivant award and also be able to host the last Tatler Ball (with Tatler Homes editor Stephanie Zubiri, no less). I was blessed to have co-hosted a few

Tatler auctions for charity and have come out in a

Tatler cover with my better half Javi Martinez that was a first in Tatler Asia history.

Nobody is laughing now. Cheers, to 20 years of Tatler.

Bea Zobel

More than just a staple in society over the years, Tatler has been there to document many memorable moments and to professionally support and tell the story of many of our endeavours and projects over the years. I am eternally grateful for supporting these endeavours, especially my yearly bazaars to raise funds to send kids to school. The memories are endless. What I most admire, is the way in which Tatler has been able to rebrand and pivot with a great fresh new relevant look and with great initiates such as Gen. T awards which casts its net wider than just society but highlights the hard work of young individuals no matter what their background. Working with Tatler has always been a collaborative effort where the team listens and makes the experience seamless, which is hard to find in the publishing industry.
