Luxury and innovation creatively come together in the Tambour Horizon Light Up connected watch by Louis Vuitton
Since time immemorial, Louis Vuitton has been a closet staple when it comes to fashion and accessories. The French Maison has maintained its pertinence by not only offering classic styles, but also by reinventing them to suit the times. The same is true for its latest connected watch, the Tambour Horizon Light Up. This new watch is a fitting next chapter for its collection of timepieces.
At first glance, its silhouette feels familiar: a curved sapphire glass for its screen, seemingly pouring over the watch’s edge, making its 44mm case appear smaller on one’s wrist. Encased within it is a kaleidoscope of colours from 24 LED lights that mesmerise whenever the watch is activated. The timepiece currently comes in three different finishes— Polished Steel, Matte Black, and Matte Brown—and has a quick strap change system that allows one to further customise the look of their watch.
In keeping with Louis Vuitton’s promise to offer bespoke creations, the Tambour Horizon Light Up can easily be personalised and made tailor fit for any look. It has eight built-in dial configurations to choose from which echoes the Maison’s classic design codes, and can be further configured in a plethora of colours. Similar to their monogrammed pieces, one can also opt to add their initials and change its colours and type faces on a whim.
The timepiece also displays its technical prowess through a new, customised operating system that intuitively allows the use of its functions with a few swipes. It features two display options: “My Day” for everyday use, and “My Travel”, which includes 30 specially-curated city guides by Louis Vuitton. One can also manage daily agenda, messages, weather and travel itinerary, as well as phone calls and music. Other new features include a heart-rate monitor, waterresistance up to 30 metres, and all-day battery.
The Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon Light Up can be connected to the Louis Vuitton Connect app for further customisation and even connection to its other devices. With its sleek design and bespoke features, the Maison once again reinvents what classic luxury could be in these modern times.
