own needs and the things I love. We make prototypes of the objects in our workshop in Bataan, and from there we post the progress photos and then the finished product. I’m always so grateful to my clients for allowing me to do what I love.”
Being a hands-on entrepreneur and a dedicated mum to two young boys, Acuzar and her family often find themselves driving up to her hometown for reasons that span both work and play. She says, “The UX is perfect for young families like mine who are pretty much on the go. It’s small enough to park easily in any street in Manila but big enough to fit my children, our luggage and our pet. We sometimes have a little picnic by opening the trunk of the car which the kids use as a bench. It’s one of the most fun things we do.”
With the return trip between Manila and Bataan lasting six and a half hours on the road, Acuzar’s undeniable vehicle of choice is her bold and reliable Lexus UX. “The fuel consumption in comparison to my husband’s car, an American gasguzzling vehicle, is so much lower. He enjoys driving my car too and is always shocked at how very little our petrol expense is, with everyone and everything fitting in our car.”
