DR VICTORIA “VICKI” BELO

FOUNDER, CEO, AND MEDICAL DIRECTOR, BELO MEDICAL GROUP

-

Dr Victoria G Belo, the founder, CEO and medical director of the Belo Medical Group, is one of the top aesthetic practitioners in the industry. The beauty leader, who acquired her degree in dermatology from the Institute of Dermatology in Bangkok, steered her company to the topranks of the industry to become the only clinic in the Philippines to receive international accreditation from India’s International National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Healthcare Providers in both 2013 and 2016. “For me, the desire to improve something about oneself has nothing to do with vanity and everything to do with self-esteem,” Belo says. “Over the last 33 years, I have seen the change in my patients over and over again. Whether it’s changing the shape of someone’s nose or helping them get rid of their severe acne, you cannot imagine how much they change. They become happier, more self-confident, and they light up from within. It’s a beautiful sight to see and I want nothing more than to help my patients look and feel like their most beautiful self.”

To help diffuse this self-love, Belo has nurtured a network of over 60 Belo doctors across the nation. “Success is the manifestation of my ability to expand beyond myself,” she says. She has also expanded her brand to multiple locations, including Trinoma, Metro Manila, Cebu, and Clark in Pampanga. She is also keen to remain at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, and has introduced treatments including ASCE+ Exosomes, Advalight and Virtue RF to the Philippines.

Belo has been recognised on the international stage; not just for her work in the field but for her charismatic persona as well. She was nominated in Monaco’s World Influencer Awards (WIA) 2019 under the Beauty Category, while, the Global Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards conferred the title of Beauty Industry Pioneer of the Year on her and her company. “I attribute these milestones to the grace of God,” she humbly tells Tatler. Belo was also one of ten aesthetic physicians worldwide to publish guidelines on reopening aesthetic clinics post-pandemic; the paper was published in the International Journal of Dermatological Therapy. “Despite my age, I find myself humbly grateful for the sustained relevance I enjoy, evidenced by my growing social media following,” she says. “Moreover, my joy knows no bounds as my family expands, welcoming little Conzi as my third grandchild. I take great solace in witnessing the overall well-being of my loved ones.”

In 2023, Belo Medical showcased its mastery of aesthetic science with two co-authored papers presented during the International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS) World Congress at the Palais des Congrès in Paris—proving once again why it is one of the best in the world. “Observing the remarkable performance of Belo Essentials, especially in outshining multinational brands during sale seasons, fills me with a deep sense of pride,” she says, speaking of the group’s fast-moving consumer goods business unit that has been surpassing both local and international brands especially in the sun protection division. “Looking ahead, we are gearing up to embark on new endeavours, including the launch of a larger Davao branch, as well as the eagerly anticipated opening of our new One Ayala clinic, slated to serve as our state-of-the-art surgi-centre.”
