Mrs. Universe PH bet leads online poll

MRS. Philippines Jennifer Cruz yesterday led a worldwide online popularity survey for candidates of the 2015 Mrs. Universe beauty pageant ongoing in Minsk, Belarus.

Cruz, 40, received 3,152 shares on the official Facebook page of the pageant, to lead the online popularity poll of the candidates for this year’s contest, said Gareth Blanco, national director of the Mrs. Universe Philippines contest.

She was followed by Mrs. Canada Ashley Burnham, 680 FB shares, and Mrs. South Africa Sarah Kate Scott, 587 FB shares.

The winner of the popularity poll will automatically enter the semifinals of the contest. It will be announced during the grand coronation night on August 29.

Blanco said that the online poll is ongoing. “Just visit the Mrs. Universe FB page, look for the picture of Jennifer Cruz, and like her photo.”

Jennifer is the wife of Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz, deputy district director for operations of the Southern Police District. She left for Belarus yesterday.

During a press send-off in Quezon City over the weekend, Mrs. Cruz said that she will also participate in a forum on domestic violence and reflection over children. Pharisees who appear beautiful on the outside but are rotten inside. Instead, these teachers of religion should strive to look nice both in and out or be consistently good within and without. As they take care of their external appearance, they should clean up their internal garbage. They should not deceive people and use religion to victimize the unsuspecting innocent.

Jesus demands sincerity in the practice of religion. Those who are interested must listen to him. They are not in church to gain recognition and to be served. True adherents of religion are formed and trained to be God-centered and other-centered.
