Following a series of roles considered rather ahead of her years, Julia Montes says she thinks she’s ready to tackle more mature roles from here on.

Julia is cast as separated twins with different callings in newly minted series Doble Kara. As the title suggests, her characters are both good and bad, a mixture of Mara and Clara combined (Mara Clara), and so much more.

As her home network ABSCBN lines up more offbeat, challenging roles for the young actress, it is clear that one day soon, she will be assigned bolder roles. Julia is open to the possibility of playing them, slowly but surely, but of course.

Sexy roles are not to be discounted, too, as they come with the new landscape.

Julia has had an interesting, colorful mix of roles in recent years. The first to step out of her comfort zone – the wholesome, teenybopper roles – she has played a young mother in “Ikaw Lamang,” and tackled adult characters in “Walang Hanggan” and “Muling Buksan Ang Puso.”

Julia also flirted with temptation and kissed her leading men in the film, “Halik sa Hangin.”

Off screen, Julia is known to be a kind-hearted young lady, devoted to the welfare of her family. Co-actors, led by Carmina Villaroel, swear by her kindness and good nature.

“Doble Kara” also stars Carmina Villarroel, Ariel Rivera, Mylene Dizon, Gloria Sevilla, John Lapus, Allen Dizon, and Alora Sasam.

Introduced are Julia’s new leading men Edgar Allan Guzman and Anjo Damiles.
