Truck driver stabbed

A 38-year-old truck driver was killed by another truck driver in Navotas City Friday. Police identified the victim as Vonel Barlagtagan of Porac, Pampanga. Investigation showed that the victim and his friend Rex Sorbano, 40, jobless, of Barangay North Bay Boulevard South, Navotas, were about to cross a pedestrian lane in front of a bank in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South at about 8:30 p.m. when a truck with body marking “LG11” suddenly appeared out of nowhere and almost hit them. The driver of the truck went out of his vehicle with a concealed bladed weapon and had a heated argument with them. At the height of their argument, the suspect took out the bladed weapon from his pocket and stabbed Sobrano in the chest. Barlagtagan tried to stop the suspect but he was stabbed multiple times in the body. Concerned citizens brought the two men to the hospital where Barlagtagan died.
