MEYCAUAYAN CITY, Bulacan – A suspected drug peddler was killed while two others were arrested during a raid conducted by Bulacan police and Highway Patrol Group on a house on Kadena de Amor Street, Barangay Saluysoy, this city, the other day. Supt. Nestor B. Cusi, chief of police here, identified the slain suspect as Conrado Macalinao Porciuncula. Arrested were Purciuncula’s son, Christian Michael Santiago Porciuncula alias “Michael”, 39; and Atilano Santos Ayson, 42, messenger driver, of Francis Subdivision, Barangay Pandayan. Police said the encounter transpired during the “One Time Big Time Operation” against Michael, which was covered by a search warrant issued by Judge Ramon D. Pamular of the Regional Trial Court Branch 32, Guimba, Nueva Ecija. Prior to the raid, a confidential police asset managed to buy a sachet of shabu at the house of Michael on October 8, 2015. On November 7, at around 5:20 a.m., the operation was launched. However, after introducing themselves as police officers, the house occupants became hostile, prompting the police officers to forcibly enter and search the house. When the operatives were already inside the house, Michael’s father Condrado suddenly fired shots at the policemen. The cops retaliated, killing Conrado on site.
